Location
The historic North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics Campus is in Durham, NC. On the grounds of the former Watts Hospital, NCSSM opened its doors to 150 students in 1980 as the nation's first public, residential high school offering a curriculum with a special focus on math and science. Today, more than 40 years later, nearly 680 students are enrolled as residential students on the Durham campus, almost 300 are enrolled as residential students on the Morganton campus, over 470 students participate in our online program for high school juniors and seniors, and more than 270 students participate in NCSSM Connect. More information about the many opportunities at NCSSM may be found here.
Durham and the Triangle area offer numerous shopping, dining, educational, entertainment and recreational opportunities. When you visit, we hope that you will take advantage of some of the wonderful food and experiences in the area. Check out the websites below for additional information:
Accomodations
We are pleased to be partnering once again with the Hilton Garden Inn Durham/University Medical Center for the TCM accomodations. A block of rooms has been reserved for our conference at a reduced rate and reservations may be made here. We recommend that reservations be made as soon as possible in order for participants to be guaranteed a room and the discounted rate.
Getting around
All TCM events except for the reception will take place on the NCSSM campus. When navigating to campus with GPS, use 1912 W. Club Boulevard as the address. You will be guided to the public parking lot closest to where TCM sessions will be held. Ample parking is available on-site.
Shuttles will be available from the Hilton Garden Inn to the NCSSM campus each morning, and will return to the hotel at the conclusion of each day.
